He was a 6'6' guard who was cut out of the freshman team in high school prior to later being named first team All Ohio. He played the college basketball of his at Miami Faculty in Ohio in which he was a consensus next team All American and a 2 time MAC Player of the Week. Harper was drafted #8 by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1986 NBA Draft. He had for Cleveland through 1986 to 1989 for the Los Angeles Clippers through 1989 to 1994. Harper had for the Chicago Bulls through 1994 to 1999 and just for the Los Angeles Lakers through 1999 to 2001.
