Berkeley Breathed is an American cartoonist, children's illustrator and book author, director, and screenwriter with a net worth of five million. Berkeley Breathed came into this world in Encino, Los Angeles, California in June 1957. He's famous for his cartoon/comic strip Bloom County with includes the characters Bill the Opus and Cat the Penguin. Throughout 1987 Breathed earned the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning for Bloom County. Bloom County ran through 1980 to 1989 and then came back in 2015. Breathed has also created the Sunday comic strips Outland that ran through 1989 to 1995 and Opus which ran through 2003 to 2008. Many books and children's books have been authored by him as well as won a Golden Duck Award for Excellence in Children's Science Fiction. The book Mars of his Needs Moms was made into a film in 2011.
